Algerian Olympic champion Kaylia Nemour won the gold medal in the balance beam competition during the fourth stage of the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, held in Cairo, Egypt.
The 19-year-old Algerian secured first place with a score of 14.266, finishing ahead of Chinese gymnasts Ke Quinquin (13.166), who took the silver medal, and Qiu Qiyuan (12.833), who earned the bronze.
The Olympic champion had been crowned the previous day on the uneven bars with a total of 14.033, ahead of China's Jiang Shuting (13.700) and Slovenia’s Lucija Hribar.
This represents a new milestone for the Algerian gymnast on the 2026 World Cup circuit, following the first two rounds held in Cottbus, Germany, and Baku, Azerbaijan. With this victory, the Algerian gymnast extends her remarkable record: she has never left a World Cup without a medal.
In total, she has claimed three gold and two silver medals across three participations this year.
The fifth stage of the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will take place from April 9 to 12 in Osijek, Croatia. Meanwhile, the Doha, Qatar stage, originally scheduled for April 14 to 18, has been cancelled by the international governing body.
The Algerian star will also compete in the African Championships starting April 21 in Cameroon, aiming to further expand her trophy collection in the uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
