The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received Pope Leo XIV this Monday at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers, as the Sovereign Pontiff began an official visit to Algeria.
The President of the Republic and His Holiness Pope Leo XIV listened to the national anthems of both countries before reviewing military detachments from various branches of the People's National Army (ANP) that rendered them honorary salutes.
