The Ombudsman of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Hattab, emphasized on Monday in Algiers the important role of digitalization in strengthening coordination between different sectors to ensure quality public service.
Speaking at the National Radio Channel 1 Forum, Mr. Hattab highlighted "the important role of digitalization in strengthening coordination between the different sectors, in order to guarantee the quality of public service, while reducing the need for citizens to travel, facilitating the procedures for receiving their concerns, and accelerating their processing." He noted that this is "in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, relating to the imperative of placing the citizen at the top of all priorities."
In the same context, Mr. Hattab indicated that the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic relies, in the fulfillment of its missions, on its delegates present across 59 wilayas, who "are in direct and daily contact with citizens and transmit their periodic reports on the concerns expressed." This is in addition to the electronic complaints portal, which allows citizens to register and track their grievances remotely, especially in distant regions.
The Ombudsman of the Republic insisted on the right of every citizen to "benefit from a quality reception, dignified treatment, and a rapid response to their concerns within a professional and transparent framework." He reiterated his institution's commitment to assuming its role as a bridge between the administration and the citizen by "transmitting concerns to the relevant administrations, which are required to respond to them within the allotted timeframes."
In this framework, Mr. Hattab specified that the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic relies on the digital analysis of all concerns received at the central level to identify the ministerial sectors and wilayas concerned, and subsequently drafts reports containing proposals for their resolution.
These efforts aim to "guarantee balanced development and service across all regions of the country," he added, praising "the good coordination between the various institutions and sectors, with a view to achieving concrete results on the ground."
