The national futsal team defeated its Egyptian counterpart with a score of 3-1 in a friendly match played on Tuesday in Cairo, as part of its preparations for the upcoming 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In the first friendly encounter between the two teams, the Algerian side suffered a 4-1 defeat on Sunday evening at the Dr. Hassan Mostafa Hall in Cairo.
These two friendly matches are part of the national team's preparations, led by Noureddine Benamrouche, ahead of the 2026 AFCON.
As a reminder, the Algerian futsal team secured its place in the 2026 AFCON finals last February by dominating Guinea in both legs of the qualifiers (4-0 and 7-1).
