The Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nacima Arhab, accompanied by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, presided this Sunday at the National Specialized Institute for Vocational Training in Rahmania (Algiers) over the official launch of the National Training Program in Artificial Intelligence.

In her speech on the occasion, Ms. Arhab emphasized that this program embodies the State’s firm commitment to investing in national competencies, considering them the "fundamental pillar" for keeping pace with the rapid technological transformations witnessed in the modern world.

She noted that this program is the "fruit of close cooperation between the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises" within a strategic vision aimed at "preparing competencies capable of rapid integration into the digital environment and contributing to the innovation of solutions that respond to market requirements."

In the same context, she added that the design of this training path relied on a "modern approach" that makes field application a core axis of the educational process, allowing "participants to undergo a high-quality professional experience by working on real-world projects."

Ms. Arhab mentioned that the implementation of this program follows a carefully studied schedule, as the training of trainers began on January 15, leading up to today's launch. The program will span 12 weeks, including 8 weeks of intensive training and 4 weeks dedicated to the completion of applied projects.

For his part, Mr. Ouadah affirmed that this program "represents a new milestone in the path of facing the challenge of artificial intelligence," praising the synergy of efforts between the two sectors to provide precise, high-level training for beneficiaries through practical work and project execution via startups using the latest technologies and the most recent AI models.

He highlighted in the same context that the goal of this "participatory and complementary" work is to provide the national market with competencies to keep pace with the massive development in the field of AI, giving them the opportunity to establish their own companies through the business incubator and the entrepreneurship development center.

On the same occasion, the two ministers oversaw the launch of the first business incubator at this institute to instill a culture of entrepreneurship and support innovative projects, encouraging apprentices and graduates to develop innovative economic ideas and initiatives. A presentation was also given on the AI training program, alongside a ceremony to honor the teachers involved in its development.
