Oil prices dropped by nearly 3% at settlement on Friday, heading toward sharp weekly losses.
Brent crude futures fell by $3.27, or 4.34%, to settle at $71.99 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped by $2.69, or 3.74%, to reach $69.23 a barrel at settlement.
