The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, presided today, Sunday, over an interactive meeting via videoconference with several members of the Algerian community residing in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. The meeting, held in the presence of Algeria's Ambassador to Moscow, was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This meeting coincides with a series of mobile consular missions organized by the Algerian Embassy in Moscow for the benefit of the national community in several Russian cities, particularly those with a significant presence of Algerian citizens.
In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State emphasized that organizing such periodic meetings reflects the Algerian state's commitment to strengthening permanent communication channels with its community abroad, listening to their concerns, and responding to their aspirations, wherever they may be.
He further highlighted that these efforts are part of a comprehensive vision aimed at bringing the administration closer to the citizen and improving the quality of consular services. This reflects the instructions of the country's highest authorities, who place special importance on the national community abroad.
He also renewed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to continue modernizing consular services and facilitating administrative procedures, in a manner that reduces travel burdens and ensures the optimal addressing of our citizens' concerns.
In the same context, the Secretary of State praised the significant role played by Algerian talents and students residing abroad. He called upon them to strengthen their engagement within organizational and associative frameworks, thereby contributing to reinforcing their ties with the motherland and their participation in the national development process.
