The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Mr. Ouassim Kouidri, received on Monday in Algiers the Ambassador of Spain to Algeria, Mr. Ramiro Fernández Bachiller, to discuss prospects for cooperation and partnership in the sector, according to a ministry statement.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, provided an opportunity to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Spain in the pharmaceutical field. Discussions focused particularly on encouraging the exchange of expertise and knowledge, as well as developing partnerships between economic operators and investors from both countries, the statement added.
Talks also touched upon the prospects of consolidating cooperation in clinical trials and the manufacturing of medicines for rare diseases, aimed at bolstering industrial and health capacities and fostering innovation in this vital sector.
The two parties agreed to continue coordination and intensify joint efforts to provide a favorable investment environment, thereby enhancing partnership and cooperation opportunities to serve the mutual interests of both nations, the same source concluded.
