The "La Concorde Civile" Zoo and Leisure Park in Algiers recently recorded the birth of five rare white lion cubs, according to a press release issued this Monday by the services of the wilaya of Algiers.
The birth of these cubs represents a qualitative contribution to the protection and breeding of rare species, the same source specified.
The "La Concorde Civile" Zoo and Leisure Park is also continuing its efforts in animal protection and biodiversity conservation. It is emphasizing the strategic objective of its managing establishment, which consists of "preserving rare species and developing breeding programs within the park, making it possible to have locally born animals instead of relying on importing them from abroad," the press release noted.
