Representing President Tebboune in Kampala, Azzouz Nasri Holds Talks With African Leaders And Officials

Representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Yoweri Museveni, the President of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Azzouz Nasri, met with several African presidents and officials in Kampala, according to a statement from the Council on Tuesday.

In this context, Mr. Nasri met on Monday with the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Ms. Selma Malika Haddadi, on the sidelines of a dinner hosted by the Ugandan President in honor of the heads of state, governments, and delegations attending the ceremony.

Prior to the start of the inauguration today, the President of the Council of the Nation met with Mr. Taye Atske Selassie, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, where they "discussed a range of issues of common interest."

During the ceremony, he also held talks with Mr. Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

At the conclusion of the proceedings, Mr. Azzouz Nasri received a special greeting from Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the statement added.

Mr. Nasri was accompanied during these activities by Mr. Mourad Amokrane, Algeria's Ambassador to Uganda, and Mr. Makhlouf Sahel, Chief of Staff to the President of the Council of the Nation.
