The Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nacima Arhab, highlighted the importance of the "Sanâa" program, which aims to enable youth to acquire fundamental skills and knowledge in various professional specialties, a ministry statement indicated on Tuesday.
During a visit conducted on Monday to several of the sector's centers and institutes in the wilaya of Algiers hosting this program, Ms. Arhab indicated that "Sanâa" aims to "allow youth to acquire basic skills and knowledge in various professional specialties through a 90-hour training course for each trainee, thereby promoting their integration into professional life or the development of their future projects," the same source specified.
During this visit, which falls within the framework of field monitoring for the program's training phase, the Minister inquired about the reception conditions for the beneficiaries and the pedagogical resources mobilized to ensure the operation's success.
She also observed the progress of theoretical and practical classes and spoke with the trainees and supervisors regarding various aspects of the program.
On this occasion, Ms. Arhab praised the efforts made by the entire vocational training community—both trainers and administrative staff—to ensure the success of this initiative. She insisted on "the importance of guaranteeing the best pedagogical and organizational conditions in order to offer quality training that meets the expectations of youth and contributes to strengthening the work culture, as well as the acquisition of professional skills."
The "Sanâa" program is experiencing strong interest on a national scale. The number of registrants has reached 173,800 people, including 114,133 beneficiaries who have been admitted and placed across more than 600 vocational training and education centers and institutes. Over 2,000 trainers and supervisors have been mobilized in the concerned wilayas, according to the same source.
