Work is underway to soon launch two important bodies to be placed under the authority of the Presidency of the Republic, namely a high council comprising Algerian scientific talents and researchers, as well as the National Antiquities Agency.

The High Council for Scientific Talents and Researchers is expected to play an important role in supporting the development momentum witnessed by the country, reflecting the firm commitment of the President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to support science, knowledge, and innovation in service of the nation.

This high-level institution will comprise an elite group of Algerian scientists and internationally renowned researchers, particularly scientific talents and experts from the national community living abroad, who have demonstrated in recent years a full commitment to the socio-economic revival of the country.

The creation of this important body comes in the context of the socio-economic dynamics witnessed by the country, in accordance with the policy of the President of the Republic aimed at making knowledge, scientific research, and innovation a driver for the comprehensive development of Algeria, especially in light of the broad engagement of the national community abroad within the dynamic of a new and prosperous Algeria.

As for the National Antiquities Agency, its creation and affiliation with the Presidency of the Republic send a strong message for a country that places its immense heritage among the priorities of state action.

The establishment of this important new institution reflects the great interest the state accords to national heritage and the necessity of preserving, protecting, and promoting it, especially since Algeria possesses a very rich heritage characterized by exceptional civilizational depth and diversity.

These archaeological treasures, which span through eras, are manifested in hundreds of cataloged archaeological sites across the national territory, which must be preserved, studied, and promoted.
