On behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, is overseeing this Saturday at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center (CIC) in Algiers the commemoration ceremony of National Artist's Day.
This occasion falls within the framework of recognizing the contributions of the Algerian artistic community to national culture and solidifying the status of the artist and their pivotal role in society as an essential partner in preserving national identity and promoting Algeria's cultural influence.
On this occasion, the winners of the 2026 President of the Republic "Ali Maâchi" Prize for Young Creators will be honored across various literary and artistic disciplines. This comes in recognition of their excellence, creativity, and contributions to enriching the national cultural scene, and as an encouragement to continue their creative journeys and actively participate in promoting national cultural and artistic production.
This annual event is organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, in appreciation of the prominent role played by the Algerian artistic community in service of national culture. It embodies the state's commitment to continuing its support for artists, enhancing their social and professional status, and supporting young creative talents to contribute to the promotion and development of the national cultural landscape.
