Within the framework of ongoing field efforts aimed at strengthening national capabilities in health response and emergency care, the Medical Committee of the Algerian Red Crescent is organizing a specialized training course in advanced and specialized emergency first aid. The course is being led by Professor Mourad Ouali, alongside the medical and paramedical team from the Intensive Care Department at the Mustapha Pacha University Hospital Center. It is taking place on June 19 and 20, 2026, at the National Training Center of the Algerian Red Crescent, located on Mohamed V Boulevard, according to a statement by the Algerian Red Crescent.

The statement added that this course comes within the context of the Algerian Red Crescent's efforts to develop the knowledge and technical skills of the participants in the field of specialized emergency first aid. This is achieved by equipping them with the latest scientific approaches and field practices adopted in evaluating casualties and providing initial care for critical cases, as well as enhancing their abilities to make appropriate decisions and intervene quickly and safely in accordance with established medical protocols.

The same source explained that this course will cover a range of scientific and practical axes related to the fundamentals and methodologies of emergency first aid, including the initial assessment of casualties and the prioritization of intervention, in addition to resuscitation techniques and swift, safe intervention to ensure improved survival rates and reduce complications.

Through this initiative, the Algerian Red Crescent reaffirms its permanent commitment to investing in specialized training as a fundamental pillar for enhancing the quality of humanitarian and health services, and raising the level of preparedness and response to various crises and emergencies.
