Attaf Received in Amman by Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, was received this Sunday evening in the capital Amman by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the fraternal Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Ayman Safadi, according to a statement issued by the Ministry.

On this occasion, the Minister of State handed over to his Jordanian counterpart the written letter addressed by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, according to the same statement.

Furthermore, the delegations of both countries held expanded talks during which the two ministers reviewed "the reality of bilateral cooperation relations existing between the two fraternal countries across various fields, and ways to elevate them to higher levels, in line with the desire of the leaders of both countries to consolidate the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between Algeria and Jordan."

In this context, both sides emphasized "their commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership relations, particularly in priority areas such as trade, health, agriculture, and the pharmaceutical industry."

They also agreed to "hold the tenth session of the Joint Committee as soon as possible and to activate the Businessmen Council in order to provide greater momentum to bilateral relations."

On the multilateral level, the statement added, "the two ministers exchanged views and perspectives regarding regional and international issues of common interest," while "reiterating the firm and principled position of both countries regarding the Palestinian cause, and renewing their support for the inalienable right of the fraternal Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital."
