The services of the Algiers wilaya announced in a statement special organizational measures for the 3rd edition of the Algiers Urban Trail, scheduled for Friday, which will see the participation of nearly 10,000 runners.

In this context, several main roads and thoroughfares in the center of the capital will be temporarily and progressively closed starting at 6:15 PM, coinciding with the race's scheduled start at 6:30 PM from the Sablettes Marina, the statement specified.

The runners will follow ALN Avenue and Zighoud Youcef Boulevard to Martyrs' Square (Place des Martyrs), then proceed through the heights of the Casbah, Krim Belkacem Boulevard, and Franklin Roosevelt Avenue, before heading toward the Ahmed Ghermoul complex to finish at the 1st of May Square (Place du 1er-Mai).

The wilaya services specified that the closures will be time-limited based on the runners' progress. The affected routes will be progressively reopened after the final participant has passed, in coordination with the security services responsible for traffic regulation and event security.

The Algiers wilaya calls on citizens and road users to show understanding and avoid the affected routes as much as possible during the race. They are encouraged to use available alternative itineraries to ensure the smooth running of this sporting event.
