Yesterday, Friday, the Air Algérie Group announced the launch of the first flight connecting Algiers to Luanda, the capital of Angola. This new step reflects the Group's strategic direction towards strengthening its presence in the African continent and expanding its international destination network.
The opening of this new air route comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and embodies the outcomes of the visit made by the President of the Republic of Angola to Algeria, during which the launch of this route was announced. This initiative aligns with efforts to enhance Algeria's openness to its African environment and promote economic, commercial, and human exchanges with continental countries, while further bolstering Algeria's position as a regional hub for air transport connecting various African capitals.
This achievement also falls within the strategy of the Air Algérie Group aimed at expanding its international destination network, particularly toward promising African markets, and responding to the growing demand for air transport, while providing more flexible and high-quality travel options for business travelers, economic operators, and all customers.
This new route represents a qualitative addition to the Group's network, contributing to the enhancement of movement and exchange between Algeria and Angola, and supporting opportunities for cooperation and partnership across various economic, investment, cultural, and tourism fields, in line with the current dynamic momentum in bilateral relations.
