The national community residing in Italy continued exercising its electoral duty today, Monday, within the framework of the legislative elections for the third consecutive day, amid strictly implemented organizational measures.

The electoral body for the national community in Italy comprises 7,073 voters distributed among the Embassy of Algeria in Rome (1,482 voters) and the two Directorates General in Naples and Milan, with 1,679 and 3,912 voters respectively.

Among the voters who cast their ballots on the third day of these elections was Youcef Kebbache (39 years old), a resident of Rome for 20 years. He traveled to the polling center at the consular section of the Embassy of Algeria in Rome, accompanied by his two sons, emphasizing that his participation in this election stems from his belief in the importance of contributing to the service of Algeria.

He said in this regard: "I came today to perform my electoral duty, and I also make sure to instill in my children the culture of citizenship and participation in building the country's future," expressing his hope that these elections will contribute to "consolidating achievements, enhancing development, and being a step toward a better tomorrow."

The Embassy of Algeria in Rome had called upon community members residing in central Italy and falling under its consular jurisdiction to cast their votes within the framework of the legislative elections to choose their representatives in the People's National Assembly. Two stations were designated for this purpose: the first is a fixed station at the headquarters of the consular section, covering the Italian capital, Rome, and the Lazio region, while a mobile station covers the cities of Macerata, Fabriano, and Città di Castello.

Five electoral lists, comprising a total of forty candidates, are competing in this election in Italy to win the single seat allocated to the electoral district of the eighth geographical zone (Southern Europe).

It is worth noting that Italy is included within the eighth geographical zone for the national community residing abroad, which encompasses 14 countries: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
