The Acting President of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE), Mr. Karim Khelfane, supervised on Monday the monitoring of the start of voting operations at mobile polling stations in the southern wilayas. This was conducted directly from the dedicated operations room at the independent authority's central headquarters, according to a statement from the body.
This operation comes, according to the statement, on the occasion of the "launch of voting operations at mobile polling stations in the southern wilayas to elect the members of the National People's Assembly for July 2, which is brought forward by seventy-two (72) hours from the official polling day."
The monitoring of the operation was marked by the "presence of the wilaya coordinators of the southern wilayas concerned by the launch of voting operations at their mobile polling stations," the statement added.
