July 2 Legislative Elections: Voting Begins Under Rigorous Organization in Eastern Wilayas

Voting for the legislative elections began this Thursday morning across the wilayas of eastern Algeria. The process is characterized by a well-organized atmosphere, according to the provincial delegations of the Autorité Nationale Indépendante des Élections (ANIE).

These delegations, in coordination with relevant services, have mobilized all necessary material, human, and logistical resources to ensure the smooth conduct of the operation. Notably, no absences were recorded among the staff members overseeing the voting centers and polling stations.

In this context, the newly established wilayas, including Ouled Djellal, Barika, El Kantara, Bir El Ater, and Bou Saâda, reported a "normal progress" of the process. Some of these provinces also witnessed a "significant turnout" of citizens arriving to cast their ballots in this electoral event, according to the same source.

Furthermore, a visible field presence of civil society representatives was noted outside voting centers. They conducted awareness and sensitization campaigns regarding the importance of participation in these elections, urging citizens to vote in this vital national milestone.
