The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed this Thursday in Algiers that the legislative elections currently taking place across the national territory are proceeding under positive conditions that inspire optimism. He emphasized that the era of electoral "quotas" and the manipulation of the people's voice has definitively ended.
Answering questions from the press after fulfilling his electoral duty at the Ahmed Aroua primary school polling center in Bouchaoui (west of Algiers) on the occasion of the legislative elections, the President of the Republic stated that "all Algerian men and women are convinced that the era of 'quotas' and tampering with the people's voice in elections is over."
He further added that during the ongoing electoral process, "we have not heard any candidate or party complain of fraud or the theft of votes," reassuring the Algerian people that "the law is being applied in a manner that ensures anyone would think twice before violating it."
