Algeria, represented by the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, is participating in the proceedings of the International Anti-Corruption Forum, which kicked off today, Thursday, in the South Korean capital, Seoul, according to a statement by the Authority.

Participating in this forum, which is organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is Mr. Hamza Khedri, a member of the council of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption.

Within the framework of this two-day forum, Algeria delivered a presentation on the "Nazaha" (Integrity) performance index, characterising it as "an innovative mechanism to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability within the public sector, embodying national efforts aimed at consolidating the principles of good governance and developing tools for evaluating public performance," the statement noted.

In this context, the Authority's representative reviewed the Algerian experience in the field of promoting integrity and preventing corruption, highlighting the national approach adopted in "developing effective mechanisms capable of upgrading public utility performance and enhancing compliance with the principles of transparency and accountability."

This participation reflects, as explained by the same source, "Algeria's commitment to strengthening its presence in international forums related to anti-corruption and exchanging successful experiences and expertise, in a way that supports national efforts aimed at establishing a culture of integrity and consolidating the foundations of good governance."
