The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Saturday a group of students participating in the 1st edition of the honorary program dedicated to brilliant students from the national community established abroad. This event is part of the summer program developed for this category, a ministry statement indicated.
The organization of this national program coincides with the celebration of the 64th anniversary of Independence and Youth Day, as part of the effort to encourage students from the national community to pursue academic excellence in their educational and university journeys, the statement specified.
The program, which runs from July 3 to 9, includes a series of activities as well as cultural, scientific, and field visits, organized in coordination and cooperation with several ministerial departments, institutions, and national bodies.
This initiative, the first of its kind, also falls "within the framework of the efforts deployed by the State to strengthen the attachment of diaspora members to their motherland. This is achieved by promoting and honoring Algerian students who have achieved remarkable academic and scientific paths in their countries of residence, while allowing them to discover Algeria's historical, civilizational, and cultural heritage, as well as to better understand its academic, developmental, and tourism potential."
On this occasion, the Secretary of State praised the "remarkable scientific level of the participants," assuring that this initiative "reflects the special attention that the country's high authorities give to national talents established abroad, and their desire to strengthen their bond with the motherland and encourage them to contribute to the national development process."
He further praised the level of close cooperation and coordination between the various ministerial sectors, which contributed to the success and realization of this program in its inaugural edition.
