On Sunday afternoon, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, officially gave the starting signal for the 2026 nationwide housing distribution program, during a ceremony held in the new city of Sidi Abdellah (west of Algiers).
The operation encompasses 179,168 housing units of various formulas across the country. This includes 42,520 Public Rental Housing units, 11,914 Rent-to-Own (AADL) units, 9,975 Subsidized Promotional Housing units, and 7,353 Free Promotional Housing units. Furthermore, the program provides 76,423 rural housing subsidies and 30,983 allocation decisions for social subdivision subsidies.
This major operation is part of the festivities commemorating the 64th anniversary of Independence Day and the recovery of national sovereignty.
