The Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, asserted this Sunday that the significant achievements accomplished in the housing field clearly reflect the strong political will of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has placed the citizen's right to housing as the ultimate priority.

In a speech delivered on the occasion of the President of the Republic overseeing the inauguration of the new "Late Mujahid Ahmed Taleb Ibrahimi" urban pole in the municipality of Rahmania (west of Algiers), the Minister noted that thanks to the sound directives of the President, the housing and urban planning sector has achieved over recent years "major milestones that will be recorded in the history of independent Algeria," with "more than 2.1 million housing units distributed since 2020."

This figure, he added, clearly reflects "the strong will of the President of the Republic, who made the citizen's right to housing the priority of priorities," considering that these achievements "will stand throughout history as a testament to the fact that the President of the Republic turned this into a premier humanitarian and civilizational project, aimed at building a victorious New Algeria that accommodates all its children."

After noting that the projects completed in the housing sector bear a strategic nature due to their connection to the citizen's dignity and stability, Mr. Belaribi explained that the current vision centers on "building new urban poles and integrated cities with full facilities and services that establish a better way of life." He added that this approach "is being implemented relying on 100% Algerian minds, hands, and resources, thanks to the wise vision of the President of the Republic."

Based on this—the Minister stated—"housing units are no longer just buildings and neighborhoods, but have instead become comprehensive, integrated cities providing a new and stable life." He emphasized that "the architectural and urban heritage achieved is not measured solely by the number of housing units completed and delivered, but by the hope instilled in the hearts of Algerians and the equal opportunities that have been realized."
