The Mediator of the Republic, Mohamed Hattab, commended yesterday, Wednesday, from the wilaya of Timimoun, "the quality of the public service offered to citizens in every corner of the country."
In this context, Mr. Hattab emphasized that citizens in the wilaya of Timimoun benefit from the same services as those offered in major cities and northern wilayas. This, he stated, reflects "the directives of the President of the Republic regarding regional equity and sustainable development, and embodies the strategic dimension of the state through development touching all regions of the country, both socially and economically, including the most remote areas."
Mr. Hattab affirmed that this is what he was able to witness firsthand today in Timimoun through the quality of services provided to citizens by administrative institutions, which he described as an "important achievement that must be praised and valued."
At the end of his visit to this wilaya, the Mediator of the Republic inquired about the healthcare services provided at the Massine polyclinic and visited the headquarters of the Ksar-Kaddour municipality (45 km north of Timimoun).
He welcomed the high level of services offered by the municipality's administrative departments and their proximity to the citizens, who no longer need to travel to daira headquarters to obtain documents such as passports, national identity cards, driver's licenses, and vehicle registration certificates.
Furthermore, Mr. Hattab highlighted the improvement in working conditions for civil servants, which has a positive impact on the quality of services. He also stressed the importance of welcoming citizens warmly, treating them courteously, and delivering services promptly.
This, he said, contributes to strengthening citizen trust in public institutions, resulting from a joint effort between the citizen and the public servant.
The Mediator also gave instructions to ensure that people with disabilities receive special attention within public institutions and administrations, starting with the installation of dedicated access ramps and the setting up of a specific counter to address and resolve their concerns as quickly as possible.
