The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, instructed the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, during the Council of Ministers meeting on Sunday, to oversee a sectoral committee responsible for monitoring the progress of bilateral cooperation agreements concluded with the two sisterly nations of Niger and Chad, the Council of Ministers said in a statement.
Regarding the follow-up on the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements with the two sisterly nations, Niger and Chad, the President of the Republic emphasized "the major importance that Algeria attaches to the rapid development of the various agreed-upon projects, particularly in the field of electricity generation for the benefit of the citizens of both sisterly nations," the statement noted.
The President of the Republic specified that this commitment "stems from a shared desire for cooperation to establish a solid economic foundation. This foundation aims to generate a strong development dynamic and genuine investments, in the best mutual interests of Algeria, Niger, Chad, and the entire region, based on an integrated vision."
Furthermore, the President of the Republic instructed Mr. Attaf to oversee a sectoral committee tasked with "monitoring, on the ground, the progress of the implementation of the various agreed-upon cooperation projects with the two sisterly nations within the established deadlines," according to the same source.
