The annual session of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) began today, Monday, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, with the participation of an Algerian delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounas Magramane, according to a ministry statement.
According to the statement, the forum’s proceedings, which will run until July 15, focus on the theme: "Transformative, equitable, innovative, and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals, seeking a sustainable future for all."
Mr. Magramane is expected to review the "tireless efforts initiated by Algeria to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in accordance with the United Nations 2030 Agenda," as well as "present Algeria's second Voluntary National Review (VNR), titled ‘Algeria Toward a Future Based on Sustainability, Social Inclusion, and Innovation.’"
