The Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, traveled this Thursday morning to the Major Burns Hospital in Zeralda (Algiers) to assess the status and conditions of care for the injured in a fire that broke out at the Assisted Children's Institution in Mohammadia.
The Prime Minister also visited the Mustapha Pacha University Hospital to check on the condition of the injured who were transferred to this hospital institution.
In a press statement, the Prime Minister confirmed that all instructions have been given to take the necessary measures to provide full care for those injured in this tragic accident.
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and all members of the government, the Prime Minister extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, praying to Almighty Allah to grant them His vast mercy and welcome them into His spacious heavens, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
It is worth noting that the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud; the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Mr. Lotfi Boudjemaa; the Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Seddik Ait Messaoudene; and the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Affairs, Mrs. Soraya Mouloudji.
As a reminder, the Civil Protection services recorded an intervention at around 3:30 AM to extinguish a fire that broke out at the Assisted Children's Institution in Mohammadia, which left an initial toll of 11 deaths and 19 injuries.
