Oil prices rose in early Asian trading this Monday morning, after falling four percent last week.
Brent crude futures gained 25 cents, or 0.4%, reaching $61.37 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude increased by 23 cents, or 0.4%, to $57.67 a barrel.
U.S. energy companies cut the number of active oil and natural gas drilling rigs last week for the second time in three weeks.
