The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has recorded over 19,000 declared projects with a total value of 8,242 billion DA ($61 billion) since commencing operations in November 2022, its Director General, Mr. Omar Rekkache, indicated on Tuesday.
During an Information Day organized by the Algeria Press Service (APS) and the AAPI on the role of national media in promoting investment and strengthening the attractiveness of the national economy, Mr. Rekkache specified that the number of projects registered via decentralized single windows and the single window for major projects and foreign investments between November 1, 2022 (the Agency's launch date) and December 21, 2025, amounts to 19,045 declared projects. These projects hold a total value of 8,242 billion DA and are expected to create more than 470,000 jobs.
This record, he stated, "testifies to the confidence of national and foreign economic operators in the deep reforms initiated by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding investment, and shows that Algeria is open to productive projects in various sectors across all wilayas, serving balanced regional development and job creation, to which the President of the Republic pays particular attention."
