The National Agency for the Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA) plans to support 10,000 micro-enterprises during the year 2026, indicated Farid Madouche, the agency's Director of Support, Partnership, and Communication, this Thursday.

"During 2026, NESDA plans to support 10,000 micro-enterprises through financing agreements with partners, but also through Entrepreneurship Development Centers (CDE) as well as training courses on business management and how to find a business idea, initiated by NESDA through its ILO (International Labour Organization) certified trainers," Mr. Madouche announced during his appearance on the program "L’invité du jour" on Algerian Radio Channel 3.

"Furthermore, we also have a target of initiating 500 subcontracting contracts between micro-enterprises and economic operators," he added.

In order to assist project holders with all administrative procedures and interactions with economic operators, with the aim of minimizing the risk of failure as much as possible, Mr. Madouche recalled that in 2025, a directorate dedicated to evaluation, financing, and risk management was created at the agency's general management level.

"NESDA ensures support when working on subcontracting or on strategic partnerships across other sectors. It is post-creation support which translates, for example, into searching for workload plans for micro-enterprises, trying to locate them within micro-activity zones, or finding premises built by the State through public developers," he explained.

Invited to speak about NESDA's achievements regarding digitization during the past year, Mr. Madouche reviewed the various platforms launched in 2025 and developed in-house by the agency's developers.

Among others, he cited NESDA Academy (initiated for project holders and dedicated to monitoring training), NESDA Writing (dedicated to project evaluation through a digitized scoring grid), NESDA Tracking (dedicated to monitoring and locating micro-enterprises in the field), as well as MyProject, which allows for the online registration of project holders and the tracking of their files based on their place of residence.

The speaker also mentioned the Business.NESDA.dz platform, dedicated to subcontracting, which connects public operators with micro-enterprises. "Currently, there are more than 5,000 micro-enterprises present on the platform and quite a few economic operators who have joined," he stated, before adding: "The goal is connecting public operators with micro-enterprises. Thus, operators will have visibility of the portfolio of micro-enterprises held by NESDA, and micro-enterprises will have visibility regarding the subcontracting needs expressed through this platform by economic operators."
