The Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) has given its approval for Algeria to host the North African University Games, scheduled from June 27 to July 5, according to a statement issued yesterday, Monday, by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The approval given by FASU for Algeria to host this major continental sporting event was based on "the country's recognized experience in organization, particularly the Oran Olympic Village," the same source specified.
The Federation also expressed confidence in "the ability of Algerian competencies to ensure the smooth running of this edition, in a manner befitting the prestigious standing of African university sports."
