The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youcef Belmehdi, received on Tuesday evening at the VIP lounge of Houari Boumediene International Airport, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. The Saudi Minister arrived at the head of a high-level delegation on a working visit to Algeria, according to a ministry statement.
According to the statement, this visit falls "within the framework of strengthening fraternal cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and exploring as well as implementing ways to upgrade coordination and joint cooperation in preparation for the Hajj season 1447 AH / 2026 AD."
The reception ceremony took place, the statement added, in "the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Algeria, Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Bussairi, as well as senior officials from the central administration and the Director General of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Taher Braik."
