The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received Algerian football legends yesterday, Sunday, during an audience granted to a delegation from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), where a replica of the World Cup trophy was presented to him.
During this meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic in the presence of the Minister of Sports, Walid Sadi, the President received former international players Rabah Madjer, Lakhdar Belloumi, Salah Assad, and Ali Bencheikh.
The President also received National Liberation Front (FLN) team player Mohamed Maouche, as well as players from the current national squad accompanied by their coach, Vladimir Petkovic.
On this occasion, Jurgen Klinsmann, the former captain and one of the all-time leading scorers of the German national team, presented the President with a miniature replica of the World Cup trophy.
