The new Ambassador of the Vatican to Algeria, Mr. Javier Herrera Corona, highlighted this Monday in Algiers the importance of the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Léon XIV to Algeria, noting that it will contribute to strengthening the relations of friendship and mutual respect between Algeria and the Vatican.
In a press statement following the presentat ion of his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as the new Ambassador of the Vatican to Algeria, Mr. Javier Herrera Corona explained that his meeting with the President of the Republic was "very cordial" and reflects as he statedthe depth of relations between Algeria and the Holy See, "established for more than 50 years."
He added that during this meeting, the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Léon XIV to Algeria was discussed, a visit that will "strengthen the ties of friendship and mutual respect existing between our two countries."
