The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Algeria, Mr. Abdel Hafiz Al-Awadi Sayed Ahmed Al-Faki, affirmed on Wednesday the Sudanese leadership's commitment to strengthening the distinguished ties with Algeria and enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields.
In a press statement following the presentation of his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Ambassador stated that "Algeria is a brotherly nation, for whose people we hold all love, appreciation, and respect." He added that he conveyed the greetings of his brother, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Mr. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the brotherly Algerian people.
On this occasion, the Ambassador emphasized "the Sudanese leadership's eagerness to consolidate the exceptional bonds with Algeria and enhance cooperation in all areas, particularly as Sudan is entering a major reconstruction phase and is ready to provide all facilities for Algerian companies to operate in the country."
The Ambassador noted that he expressed Sudan's "appreciation and admiration for the President of the Republic and his wise leadership during this important period in Algeria's history."
Furthermore, Mr. Abdel Hafiz Al-Awadi indicated that the President of the Republic tasked him with conveying his greetings to his brother Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, while expressing his aspirations for a speedy peace in Sudan. He reaffirmed that "Algeria stands by Sudan during the current circumstances to enable it to face all challenges."
He added that he provided the President with a "briefing on the military situation on the ground and the progress of the Sudanese Armed Forces on all fronts, regaining most of the country's territory despite continued foreign military support targeting its unity."
He also briefed him on the "return to normalcy in the nation's capital and the return of all ministries and state institutions to work from within the city of Khartoum after a three-year absence, despite the systematic destruction carried out by the rebel militias in the capital, which damaged infrastructure, particularly the electricity sector."
Finally, Mr. Abdel Hafiz Al-Awadi stated that he informed the President of the "dimensions of the conspiracy being hatched against Sudan, led by forces of evil to engineer conditions in the region and subjugate peoples." He noted that "the failure of the project to seize power in Sudan through rebel militia forces has pushed hostile powers to empower these militias and their branches within the Sudanese government."
