The newly appointed Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Algeria, Mr. Mobhare Holmes Matinyi, praised on Wednesday the deep brotherly bonds characterizing bilateral relations between the two countries, which are rooted in a shared history of liberation struggle.
In a press statement after presenting his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Mobhare Holmes Matinyi lauded the level of relations between the two nations, which he described as having "deep brotherly ties and a shared history stemming from the collective struggle for the liberation of Africa."
He noted that "this spirit of solidarity remains firmly rooted to this day, with great potential to strengthen bilateral ties through the shared values that unite our countries."
The Ambassador added that his mission in Algeria is to "strengthen relations between the two friendly nations to serve the interests of their peoples," highlighting the "exceptional leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as the significant economic opportunities Algeria offers and its characteristic Pan-African spirit."
After pointing out "promising prospects" for expanding trade and strengthening bilateral cooperation, the Tanzanian Ambassador noted that "the primary focus will be on increasing the volume of trade and investment, particularly in key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, the pharmaceutical industry, energy, mining, tourism, and higher education."
Furthermore, Mr. Mobhare Holmes Matinyi confirmed his country's desire to enhance cooperation in other fields, including "defense, security, science, technology, scientific research, and cultural exchange, to consolidate ties between the two countries."
In conclusion, the Tanzanian Ambassador expressed his country's aspiration to "work closely with Algeria to turn these opportunities into tangible gains for the benefit of the peoples of both countries."
