The Prime Minister Mr. Sifi Ghrieb chaired a government meeting on Wednesday dedicated to examining several files, including a preliminary draft law on the conditions for exercising commercial activities, sectoral roadmaps, and the follow-up of major structural projects, according to a press release from the Prime Minister's services. "Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb chaired, this Wednesday, March 4, 2026, a Government meeting devoted to examining the following points:
At the beginning of the session, the Government examined a preliminary draft law amending and supplementing Law No. 04-08 of August 14, 2004, relating to the conditions for the exercise of commercial activities.
Furthermore, and within the framework of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic regarding the establishment of sectoral roadmaps for the 2026-2028 period, the Government examined the roadmaps for the sectors of Mujahideen and Rights Holders; Energy and Renewable Energies; Foreign Trade and Export Promotion; Religious Affairs and Endowments; and the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises.
It is noteworthy that these plans, prepared based on objective diagnoses and practical tools aligned with human and financial resources, aim specifically to structure national development, diversify the economy, increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and improve local production.
Finally, in the context of monitoring major structural projects, the Government reviewed the progress of several projects in the fields of agriculture, energy, and water resources."
