The National Office for Hajj and Umrah (ONPO) has called on all pilgrims participating in the 1447 AH / 2026 AD Hajj season to book their travel tickets as soon as possible via the Algerian Hajj Portal, to avoid any organizational difficulties they might face.
To prevent any complications for the pilgrims, the Director of Information Systems in charge of the Hajj Directorate at the Office, Mohamed El Amine Bounemra, called on all pilgrims in a statement to APS on Tuesday to "strictly adhere to the announced deadlines."
He added that to find out more details about the flights and the dates for when reservations open, pilgrims should access the following link: https://bawabetelhadj.dz/scheduledtrips.
Regarding the creation of pilgrim accounts on the "Rakb El Hadjidj" application, the official explained that logging in is done using the same credentials as the Algerian Hajj Portal. He urged those wishing to travel together in a single group to "ensure they create a group and input all the names of the pilgrims via the portal before proceeding with the booking, to avoid being separated on different flights."
Mr. Bounemra also highlighted the 12 departure airports designated for this year's Hajj season. They are: Houari Boumediene (Algiers), Mohamed Boudiaf (Constantine), Rabah Bitat (Annaba), Ain El Beida (Ouargla), Ahmed Ben Bella (Oran), Boudghene Ben Ali Lotfi (Béchar), Cheikh Sidi Mohamed Belkebir (Adrar), Moulay Ahmed Medeghri (Laghouat), Hadj Bey Akhamok (Tamanrasset), Mostefa Ben Boulaid (Batna), Moufdi Zakaria (Ghardaia), and Messali El Hadj (Tlemcen).
He further recommended following the Office's official social media pages and adhering to the provided guidelines and instructions to facilitate the pilgrims' journeys. He stressed that the Algerian Hajj Portal remains "the approved official channel for completing all procedures related to the Hajj process in a smooth and seamless manner."
It is worth noting that the National Office for Pilgrimage and Umrah previously announced that the first flight carrying pilgrims to the Holy Sites will depart on April 29 from Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers.
