Following the interview granted by France's National Antiterrorism Prosecutor, Olivier Christen, to Franceinfo, an authorized source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated to APS that “the National Antiterrorism Prosecutor of France has, in a casual, reckless, and irresponsible manner, mentioned Algeria in relation to procedures opened for state terrorism”.
“Such an unjustified accusation can naturally only provoke indignation and contempt,” the same source noted.
“This statement is condemnable for what it is: a vain aggression against a country, Algeria, which a deleterious French context sets up as a scapegoat and a diversion from all the challenges assailing France, which it is struggling to overcome,” the same source added.
