The National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) announced on Monday in a press release the launch of the exceptional revision of the electoral rolls, from April 12 to the 26th of the same month, in anticipation of the legislative elections scheduled for next July 2.
Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 26-145 of 16 Shawwal 1447, corresponding to April 4, 2026, summoning the electorate for the election of members of the National People's Assembly (APN), scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2026, and in application of the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 of 26 Rajab 1442, corresponding to March 10, 2021, on the organic law relating to the electoral system, as amended and supplemented, particularly Articles 62 and 65, ANIE announces "the opening of the periodic revision period of the electoral rolls starting Sunday, April 12, 2026," noting that it will close on Sunday, April 26, 2026, the same source specified.
In this regard, it indicated that "citizens not registered on the electoral rolls, who will have reached the full age of 18 by the date of the ballot, and who meet the legally required conditions, are called upon to request their registration on the electoral roll of their municipality of residence."
The Authority also "invited citizens registered on the electoral rolls who have changed their place of residence to request their registration on the electoral roll of their new municipality of residence, by visiting the headquarters of the communal delegation of ANIE and submitting any request, as the case may be, bringing an identity document and a proof of residence, between 09:00 and 16:00."
"Citizens can access the ANIE website to verify their registration, or send requests for registration or removal via the link: https://services.ina-elections.dz," the same source specified.
Citizens residing abroad, "registered with Algerian diplomatic or consular representations, are called upon to request their registration on the electoral rolls, following the same procedures, with the electoral roll revision commission at the level of Algerian diplomatic and consular representations abroad."
