Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, held talks on Tuesday via video conference with the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Ali Hamed Al-Kharabsheh, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the hydrocarbons sector, according to a ministry statement.
During the meeting, which featured the participation of the Jordanian Ambassador to Algeria and senior officials from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, both ministers reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries. They focused on ways to strengthen partnerships between national institutions and develop trade exchanges, particularly in the export of crude oil, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
The discussions also explored opportunities for supplying Jordan with these energy resources, as well as cooperation in the distribution and storage of petroleum products.
Furthermore, the two parties addressed current developments in the international hydrocarbons market and its future prospects, exchanging views on several files of mutual interest, the statement added.
For his part, the Jordanian minister described the talks as fruitful, expressing his country's desire to bolster its partnership with Algeria, intensify economic consultations, and exchange expertise to serve the common interests of both nations.
