The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane, participated in the ministerial roundtable on "Evaluating the Pact for the Future," on the sidelines of his participation in the proceedings of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, which convened at the United Nations headquarters in New York from July 7 to 15, under the theme "Transformative, equitable, innovative, and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals," according to a statement by the Ministry.
During his intervention, the Secretary General reviewed "Algeria's efforts and contributions to reforming the United Nations, particularly within the framework of its membership in the Security Council during the 2024-2025 period, as well as the endeavors it led with its various partners within its groups of belonging to support multilateral action based on the principles of justice and equity," according to the same statement.
Magramane also highlighted "the approach followed by Algeria under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which consecrates development based on investment in human resources, innovation, and digitization, noting on this occasion the necessity of activating structural reforms and actual mobilization to address the challenges posed by the international funding gap and to tackle the debt burdens that weigh heavily on developing countries," the same source added.
