Attaf Meets Saudi Counterpart in Antalya: Strengthening Ties and Regional Security

On the sidelines of his participation in the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks today in Antalya with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

During this meeting, Minister Ahmed Attaf reaffirmed Algeria's full solidarity and unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of the attacks it encountered amidst the military escalation in the Arabian Gulf region. In this context, he recalled the sentiments expressed by the President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the phone call he held with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two ministers also discussed the latest developments in the region in light of the ceasefire agreement between the concerned parties. They expressed their hope that this agreement would serve as a starting point for reaching final solutions that ensure the return of security and tranquility to the entire region.

On the bilateral level, the two ministers reviewed the distinguished momentum in the partnership between the two countries, particularly in its economic dimension. They emphasized the need to add further impetus to it, within the framework of ongoing preparations for the first session of the Algerian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council.
