President of the Republic of Algeria: The Railway Line Connecting Algiers to Tamanrasset will Enter Service by the End of 2028

The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, confirmed during a Council of Ministers meeting this Sunday that the railway line connecting Algiers, Laghouat, Ghardaia, El Menia, and In Salah, reaching Tamanrasset, will enter service by the end of 2028.

The President of the Republic emphasized that this project is the “New Project of the Century,” rivaling the significance of the Gara Djebilet project.

He also confirmed that Algeria will begin exporting phosphate from Bled El Hadba by the end of March 2027, following the completion of the Eastern Mining Line (Bled El Hadba - Oued Keberit - Annaba).
