Haidaoui inspects final preparations for Cybersecurity Hackathon 2026 in Algiers

Minister of Youth, in charge of the High Council for Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, visited the "Abderrahmane Laâla" Youth Center in El Madania (Algiers) to inspect the ongoing preparations for the "Hackathon 2026" technological event focused on cybersecurity, according to a ministry statement issued on Thursday.

The statement noted that "as part of the continuous support for pioneering initiatives within youth institutions, Mr. Hidaoui visited the Abderrahmane Laâla Youth Center on Wednesday to oversee the arrangements for the technological cybersecurity hackathon."

This event will bring together "a selection of elite young talents in a 36-hour continuous challenge starting this Thursday evening." It is organized through a "promising partnership between the Advanced Computing Society (ACS) club of the Abderrahmane Laâla Youth Center and the 'Ingeniums' scientific club of the École Supérieure d’Informatique (ESI) of Sidi Bel Abbès."

During the visit, Mr. Mustapha Hidaoui expressed his "pride in the energy of the organizing youth." On this occasion, he issued instructions to "mobilize all material and logistical resources, overcome all obstacles, and provide full support to ensure the success of this national event," the statement added.
