The Indian Ambassador to Algeria, Swati Vijay Kulkarni, has praised the quality and depth of the Algerian-Indian partnership, highlighting the progress achieved by both nations in various fields and Algeria's prominent position within the prospects of the India-Africa partnership.
Speaking on Thursday during a meeting dedicated to presenting the 4th India-Africa Forum Summit, to be held in New Delhi from May 28 to 31, in cooperation with the African Union Commission, the Ambassador stated: "Algeria is a key partner for us, both within the African Union and the Global South, as it serves as a gateway to Africa and Europe."
In this context, the Indian diplomat invited investors from her country to invest in Algeria and establish solid partnerships with Algerian companies, given the favorable business climate. She noted that 250 out of the 650 pharmaceutical units active in Africa are located in Algeria.
Regarding the 4th India-Africa Forum Summit, themed "The Spirit of AI: India-Africa Strategic Partnership for Innovation, Resilience, and Inclusive Transformation," Swati Vijay Kulkarni explained that the summit would culminate in the "New Delhi Declaration," which will define the main pillars of cooperation between India and Africa.
"We hope for strong participation from Africa, especially Algeria, in this event, as India and Africa share a deep historical relationship characterized by solidarity, common aspirations, interests, and shared dreams," she added.
A series of cultural and artistic events, with the expected participation of an Algerian delegation, is scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the summit.
