The Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, inaugurated this Wednesday in Batna a truck refrigeration unit assembly plant. This inauguration took place during his working and inspection visit to the wilaya, carried out by order of the President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During his inspection of this unit, located in the Kechida industrial zone in Batna, the Prime Minister stated that the relaunch of this facility is a “significant step in the process of recovering industrial assets.” He emphasized that “the responsibility now lies with the workers and managers to ensure the project's success and the achievement of its set objectives.”
This unit, belonging to the East Maintenance Company (SME), a subsidiary of the Industrial Cement Group of Algeria (GICA), is an asset recovered as part of the implementation of the President of the Republic's instructions. These instructions concern the rehabilitation and relaunch of industrial assets confiscated under final judicial rulings.
This unit has resumed its activities with the reintegration of the workforce, achieving a 100% local integration rate. This milestone contributes to meeting the needs of the national market, which is experiencing an increasing demand for this type of equipment.
Spanning an area of 10,700 square meters, this unit is well-positioned to play a significant role in supporting national production and strengthening the industrial fabric.
