The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received on Tuesday at the Ministry's headquarters the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Algeria, Ramiro Fernández Bachiller, in the presence of the Director General of Trade at the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Commerce, according to a ministry statement.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the current state of economic and commercial relations between Algeria and Spain. The two sides reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in developing trade exchanges to serve the mutual interests of both countries.

The two parties also discussed prospects for expanding economic partnerships between operators in both nations. They encouraged the establishment of joint investment projects and the exploration of available opportunities across various sectors of mutual interest.

Furthermore, both sides agreed to accelerate the restructuring and reactivation of the Algerian-Spanish Business Council. This move aims to provide a permanent institutional framework bringing together businessmen and economic operators from both sides. It will also contribute to advancing qualitative partnership projects that reflect the shared desire to elevate economic relations to the level of their available potential.
